The statue of Bill Gates is being created by Nikolai Shmatko

The famous Ukrainian sculptor, King of Marble Nikolai Shmatko is going to create the statue of Bill Gates, the richest man of the world, and to present it to him personally. He will participate in the famous Biennale of Florence in December of 2007. Besides the bust of Bill Gates, Nikolai Shmatko will present some more of his interesting works.

Nikolai Shmatko has been creating marble sculptures for more than 30 years. His personal gallery includes about one hundred sculptures, and some of his ideas exist as the projects that he is going to make a reality. Besides, the master has created ten variants of the monument to the victims of Golodomor (Famine). His latest work – the unusual marble bust of Bill Gates – will be presented at the Art Festival of Florence.

Nikolai Shmatko: "If we talk about Bill Gates, we should say that he is, of course, a historical personality. He will give most of his billions of money to the humanity, so that the humanity could get a new boost towards progress".

The marble bust of Bill Gates is exposed at the art gallery "Shmatko & Sons" and has been available for viewing since 2007.
