Nikolai Shmatko:
"A bright personality came down to my creative work like a star"

In some way, I idealized the image of Volochkova by showing her excellence, her style and way of living! I want her to be seen with the eyes of the creator. I consider her the goddess of the 21 century.

The presentation of two marble sculptures took place in the gallery "Shmatko & sons": the first one is "Morning" by Nikolai Shmatko – the full-length image of the famous ballerina Anastasia Volochkova, made of a three-ton marble block. The second one is "Three Graces and the Spheres" by his son Rafael. The new works were estimated at their true worth by the important guests, a German businessman Kurt Eisenberg among them.

– When you examine the sculpture, you almost feel like a poet, – says the guest. – … The clothes came down the naked body and showed its beautiful shapes to the viewer. The light of movement bordering on scare and amazement; the beautiful hair, face, head rotation… And you would shout out: "What a splendor!" Your heart misses a beat when you see the works of the King of Marble. The sculpture of Anastasia Volochkova is worth seeing.

Shmatko:

I am interested in bright, talented, extraordinary personalities, and, in my opinion, Volochkova is the personality of the 21 century.

The guest:

I envy her. Due to his creative search, the King of Marble lingered the beautiful illusions, which will never become old and forgotten. I wonder what the cost for the marble block was?

Shmatko: It was not expensive. It cost four thousand Euros.

The guest: Is it true that you can influence a man's state in big distance?

Shmatko: Yes, it is true. When I was working on the creation of the ballerina's image, and when her spirit was nearby, I watched the interview with Volochkova on TV. She complained about her feeling, quite… uncomfortable, and she did not understand what was happening to her. She thought it could possibly be an evil eye. But it was me who was examining her body in the distance, trying to reproduce all the shapes and slimness of her body. A bright personality came down to my creative work like a star. She was lucky to come to the historical chronicles.

The guest: Nikolai Gavrilovich, you give the future generations the possibility of having a look at the history of the formation of the 21st century in the field of art! Did you try to reach the full resemblance to Volochkova or you did not?

Shmatko: In some way, I idealized the image of Volochkova by showing her excellence, her style and way of living! I want her to be seen with the eyes of the creator. I consider her the goddess of the 21 century.

The real interest was attracted by the marble sculpture of Rafael Shmatko "Three Graces and the Spheres". The young, but very talented sculptor worked almost three years on it. By the way, in the international exhibition of Monaco, where the father and son participated, the work of Rafael "Hush! Hush!" was highly estimated by the connoisseurs of art as a work of the world level! This is a serious bid of the Luhansk sculptor. Rafael inherited the skills of his father, the King of Marble Nikolai Shmatko, in full.

These new two works replenished the rich collection of the gallery "Shmatko & sons", and both father and son cherish new ideas, that again will delight the connoisseurs of art.
